Our Camp Rap!

Camp
Theres a camp, called ‘Kokako Lodge’
In Papakura, where nobody knows..

Archery, the most powerful force,
Shooting down Y’all, always winning all wars
Abseiling, getting in the zone
climbing down the rocks, hurting all your bones

Listen to the teachers and all their instructions
They have the weapon of a mass destruction
Tamaki here, Tamaki there, before you even know it Tamaki everywhere
Be scared, there is a camp nation!
Camp is the best with no hesitation

They ban attitude, they ban anything that has no USE!
Team building! You need to work as a team
Made a raft boat going down the stream
Is this reality or is it a dream?

Take it to the north running back and forth
Take it to the`south shouting Tamaki loud
Take it to the west we’re better than the rest

A Variety Of Fishing Practices T3W9

A Variety Of Fishing Practices

Introduction:
Hello, my topic is about different types of fishing methods.
Did you know dredging is one of the top fishing material that’s mostly used all over the world?

Second Paragraph:
Dredging
Are you wondering what type of fishing practice will get you scallops, oysters, clams and shellfish?
Because I know the perfect fishing practice, and it’s called ‘Dredging’. Well dredging is the type of fishing tool you would want to use. For dredging you can use 2 or 1 steel cage nets to collect enough for yourself or your family. If you catch unwanted species like crabs and lobster you can throw out the unwanted sea creatures that you don’t want. If you don’t want lobsters and crabs then release them back into the ocean. The natural cause is that it can ruin the seafloor.

Third Paragraph
Trawling
Trawl fishing is a classic way of fishing, because there is different types of techniques that are mostly used. Trawl fishing is when a big net is tied behind 1 or 2 boats that are driven to collect fish. The only danger is with trawling is that you won’t know what you're collecting under the ocean, and also you can entangle and kill the sea creatures or mammals that have been trapped.

Fourth Paragraph
Gillnetting
Gillnetting is a common type of fishing skills. This type of fishing skill is mostly used if you are going to catch sardines, salmon, fish and cods. It is a very great way of fishing. when the fish try to go through and they get trapped in the net they end up being entangled, and captured. Also, it might catch sea mammals that accidentally get caught in the net.

Fifth Paragraph
Traps and Pots
Traps and pots is a passive way to catch fish, shellfish, crabs, prawns, octopus and squid, but the danger that is within trawl fishing is that it may catch anything like endangered sea mammals and other sea creatures.

Conclusion

There are a lot of different fishing practises, but they all have something in common. That they catch fish, and different sea creatures in the sea. Some fishing practices can entangle and injure other sea creatures living in the sea. Not only that there’s always a danger that is within the fishing practices.

Duffy Assembly Reflection

Today, we had a whole school assembly. There were three guests that joined us, one representative from remuera rotary club who kindly joined us, Joshua and Corrie from AUT ( Auckland University of Technology ) they came to help us and encourage us to keep on reading, not only that they read us a very inspiring and soulful poem that really inspired us to keep on going and not to be thinking about the race because it will drag you down from what you are capable of doing.

Homework T2W7

Spelling song (“It’s a part of life”) - T2W7

Inspired by: Michael Jackson, Blame it on the Boogie.

Friends could adapt without me,
And that is a bad thing,
I wish that they could stay,
And that’s no lie!

We danced up to our heights,
It was the best night,
then it was time to say goodbye,
But I wanted to boogey...

Don’t blame it on experiments
Don’t blame it on the failure,
Don’t blame it on the process,
Its a part of life!!!

Don’t blame it on  experiment
Don’t blame it on the failure,
Don’t blame it on the  process,
Its a part of life!!!

I just can’t, I just can’t,
I just can’t explain myself,
I just can’t, I just can’t,
I just can’t explain myself,

Experiment,
Don’t blame it on the failure
Don’t blame it on the process
It’s part of life

1. The thirds of cold got me,
And I might be drowsy,
I’m acting kinda curious,
On my feet.

2. Then the next day, I was told,
That we were evolved!
thinking about something
And that’s no lie..

Chorus:

Don’t blame it on experiments,
Don’t blame it on the failure,
Don’t blame it on the process,
It’s a part of life. X2

I just can’t,
I just can’t
I just can’t explain myself

I just can’t,
I just can’t,
I just can’t explain myself.

This question is stuck inside me
I can’t think of anything,
What could the answer be?
Please help mee..

I’m full of funky fever,
can’t focus and will never,
it’s crazy and I’m sick of it,
Please don’t worry,

Don’t blame it on experiments
Don’t blame it on the failure
Don’t blame it on the process
It’s apart of life,

Don’t blame it on experiments,
Don’t blame it on the failure
Don’t blame it on the process
It’s apart of life,

Experiments
Failure
Process
It’s a part of life!

Don’t you blame it on experiments
failure,
process
it’s a part of life....
